Ode to the Past provides articles and essays on all things cultural, from ancient history to classical music, and from contemporary poetry to continental philosophy. It was founded from a wish to commemorate the writings, ideas, and artworks of the past. To bring the past back to the present.

Team

Steven Klinkenberg is the founder of Ode to the Past. He is a culturally and socially engaged classicist with a great fondness for language and literature. He has BA’s in Classics and Philosophy, as well as an MA in Classics. Besides ancient history and philosophy, he has a great interest in classical music, especially of the Renaissance and Baroque period.
